Twelfth Night truly is a festive riot of mischief and misplaced desire and is possibly one of the best romantic comedies of all time.

About the show

“If music be the food of love, play on…”

When a sea voyage meets a violent storm, the lovely Viola is stranded on the island of Illyria, a land far from her home.  She is separated from her beloved twin brother, Sebastian, who is lost in the waves and presumed drowned.

In order to survive, Viola disguises herself as the young man, Cesario, and finds employment of the home of the Duke, Orsino.  She falls in love with the Duke and finds herself in an unusual tangle of unrequited love.

Meanwhile, in the household of the Countess Olivia, Sir Toby Belch and his unruly companions play tricks on Olivia’s strict and pompous steward, Mavolio, to take revenge on him for his disapproving ways.

Filled with unforgettable characters, Twelfth Night combines trickery, high comedy and the challenges of being in love, and contains some of the most exquisite language Shakespeare ever wrote.
